ROBERT JOHNSON PORTRAIT CREATED FOR BLUES FESTIVAL

Festival bilboard on the side of HWY 49 S, just outside of Greenwood.
I was invited to create a portrait of legendary bluesman Robert Johnson to help promote this year's Robert Johnson Blues Festival in Greenwood, Mississippi. The event is being held in Greenwood's historic Baptist Town neightborhood, where Johnson is said to have lived and played before he died in Greenwood in 1938. If you happen to be in the area on April 30, this is an event that you don't want to miss.

My original gouache portrait of Johnson, pictured above, as well as limited-edition archival prints of the drawing, are available for purchase in my online shop. A portion of the sale of each print will be donated in support of the festival. *SPECIAL PROMOTION: Use the coupon code "XOXO" at checkout through February 14, 2016, to receive free shipping for Valentine's Day!
